Just finished a track, I was messing around with an old vocal sample i had from a remix competition over 10 years ago, and came up with this track. I can’t really do anything commercially with it as I can’t trace the origin and find the owner of the vocal, so thought I may as well give it away. A little different to my usual stuff, but hopefully you’ll enjoy it just as much.

I’ve decided to give away a copy of one of the tracks from my forthcoming album as a special pre-master preview. It’s a track that nobody’s yet heard, and it won’t be aired anywhere else until the album is released in November, so you’ll be the first people to hear it. It’ll also give you a sneak peek at the album art embedded into the track too.
All you need to do to get it is join my music page on facebook, then check the updates tab on your mail/inbox page on facebook, where you’ll see an update from me providing the link.
For anyone heading out to Burning Man this year, I’ll be playing at the Do Lab & El Circo Simpler Times theme camp, on saturday night, at 10pm after the man burns.
The line up is looking incredible for the whole week and I’m feeling very flattered to be part of it, so if you want to get some good music in during the week, it’s a great place to hang out.
Here’s what they have to say about the camp:
For the first time ever The Do LaB and El Circo are joining forces to create an unforgettable visual sound camp, Simpler Times, at Burning Man this year.
The merging of these iconic communities of San Francisco and Los Angeles is sure to produce one of the most epic and memorable places to be on the Playa with the creative explosions, amazing musicians and mind blowing performances.

Just thought I’d let everyone know, the album will be released in November this year, I will post an exact release date once everything is scheduled.
It will contain 12 tracks (11 plus a bonus track), 8 of which are previously unreleased, and 3 of which have never been heard, aside from those 3, you can hear previews in the player on my blog.
The artwork has just been finished, and is looking excellent, I’ll post a preview of it soon.
The CD will be available via my online store, which is in the process of being built, along with a revamped website and blog to accompany the album release. When you purchase the CD, you will get a free downloadable copy of the album straight away for free, so you can listen to it while your waiting fro the CD to arrive.
Digital release will be a month after, in December, and will be available on my online store. There’ll be some special offers, and additional gifts for purchasing it through my store, but it will also be available on most online stores both big bad small if you rather use your preferred place.
25% of sales from the album will be donated to NextAid.
I’m also half way through finishing a new EP to be released in January. For anyone that buys the album CD before then, I will send a free copy of the EP, and anyone buying the album CD after the new EP is released, will get a copy of the EP for free at the same time, otherwise the EP will be available to buy at most online stores as well as my own store.
For anyone going to Burning Man this year, I’ll be playing live at a few very cool camps and stages this year, so watch this space, as I’ll be posting a list of places and times to catch me play soon.
Huge thanks to everyone that’s continued to support me and my music, it means thew world to me, and I sincerely mean that. I’m looking forward to hearing what you all think of the album when it’s released.
I haven’t posted much lately, but there’s been a good reason for it, I have been busy focussing on finishing my long awaited album….. I’m pleased to say it’s finished. All that’s left is to get the tracks mastered, sort out the play order, and finish the artwork.
It will have a full worldwide CD and digital release some time later this year, hopefully Autumn providing everything gets finished in time. I’ll post another update on it’s pending release nearer the time.
I’m pretty excited, most of the album was written in the past year, all new tracks, with only a few previously released favourites being on there too.
my label, Summer Rain Recordings just released 8 new EPs today, all pretty damn good in my humble opinion.
Check them out below:
We have 8 great new releases today at Summer Rain. Click the pics to preview the EP:
Homesic – Restless Heart Syndrome EP
Homesic’s first EP on Summer Rain brings you 5 tracks that can’t help but put you in a good mood. Their sound is probably best described as Japanese TV show music meets Aphex Twin.
10% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
David Kira couldn’t have named his second EP on Summer Rain better. An evolutionary step from from his first EP, building on the strengths of Instinct EP, In-Evolution contains 4 beautiful new tracks that take your mind on a journey. Music so perfect for a film, it makes us want to create one for them to accompany.
5% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
Iridium Flares’ second EP has been a long time coming, but it was certainly worth the wait. He has taken the most loved aspects from his first EP, thrown them into the pot, and added new found and old honed skills into the mix, and created 4 blissful new tracks. If there’s a genre called folkidmglitchtronica, then this EP fits it perfectly.
5% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
Taking a break from the electronic side of things, Everything Is’ first EP is a collection of 4 beautiful, chilled, and haunting piano songs. If you are wondering how this might all fit in to Summer Rain’s catalog, then take a listen, and you’ll soon realise why we chose to release this EP.
5% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
Mr. Squirrel’s second EP on Summer Rain is much like an auditory version of the cover – an organic blend of light and dark sounds, textures, and percussive breaks that condense a melting pot of influences and inspirations into 5 tracks of aural pleasure. What does that sound like? Take a listen….
5% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
Storm Boy’s Second Release on Summer Rain, Chrome EP, brings you more of what he’s good at – deep progressive tech house. @ new tracks from him, with 2 different mixes of both tracks to please different moods, different minds. Tracks that sound perfect both dropped in a club set or dropped to chill to when you get home.
5% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
His third EP on Summer Rain brings more of the quality we’ve come to expect from riccicomoto, though this is his best yet, 4 new tracks showcasing a more refined sound with fresh nu jazz and lounge grooves reminiscent of sounds you might expect from the likes of a Ninja Tune music session.
50% of all sales proceeds are being donated to NextAid.
The Debut EP from Benjamin in Peru delivers a distinct but unique IDM atmosphere that wouldn’t be out of place on an advert for exquisite dark belgian chocolate and exotic fruit praline from one of the finest belgian chocolate producers. Give it a taste, we think you’ll like it.
5% of all sales proceeds are being donated to charity.
Founder of Summer Rain Recordings, David grew up in the seventies, surrounded by music (at least until he took his mother’s record player apart at the age of 6 to see how it worked). His favourite toys were those that made or recorded sound. One of his most loved being the Stylaphone, which he was given at the age of 4.
David began Djing at the age of 18, playing local events and clubs whenever the opportunity arose, often for free, solely for the enjoyment and satisfaction it gave him.
Whilst at University in Manchester, UK, David co formed and ran a successful club night for 3 years, playing to a loyal, continuously growing crowd every fortnight. Success in this arena lead to David securing many bookings at local clubs and events around the North West of England.
Through his love for Djing, David felt an increasing desire to create his own music, and explore the soundscapes that were building up in his mind.
The day that profoundly changed David’s life occurred by chance. A friend took him into the University music studio, briefly showed him how to turn the keyboards and equipment on, gave a ten minute lesson in the music production software on the computer, and left the room. 6 hours flew by, completely hooked, he had found the path he had been searching for since he was a child.
Ever since, every penny he shouldn’t have spent, every spare moment he has, goes on letting emotions flow through sound.
Through the last 10 years David has been busy spending all his time exploring all the musical avenues that intrigue him, as well as concentrating on his own tracks, he has worked on numerous remixes, written, scored, and performed many contemporary theatre underscores and soundtracks, music for hair shows, and music for various websites.
David’s records and releases under the Auditory Canvas alias and David Leeson alias on Summer Rain Recordings, the label that David founded and setup to help artists get what they deserve, and also give something back via charity donations. David donates 25% of all royalties received from the sales of his EPs to the charity NextAid, Summer Rain Recordings also donate 25% of all profits from the EPs.
